Here is a chance to throw out something you did recently as and activity that you enjoyed. bigsmile Nah we know everyone enjoys that. I am hoping people will share a hobby or interest that would make being on a date mutually interesting.

I recently went to a near by Vineyard for a picnic lunch. I am not a huge wine enthusiast but it was a lovely outing and I learned a little about food pairings so as a hobby chef it was really interesting. .

Just came in from tending the ol vegetable garden and the compost heap. When I go back out I gotta tame me some blackberry bushes. Good fruit but they're going wild.

Learned you some wine pairing, huh? So, tell me, what meat do I serve with blackberry wine? I usually go with a succulent hillbilly steak (fried bologna).

On Mother's day I went with friends up a couple of rivers on a airboat.
it was a blast.. Had a hot dog roast right on a gravel bar in the middle of the river.
We looked for rocks, found a couple of small nuggets and lots and lots of colour.

I think this would be a great date...

Goof that would be an awesome date...

I did it, zip lines, years ago and yes it is a blast.

I also think playing on the river panning and roasting Hot dogs is stellar date plan.

As for the wine pairing if I get it right, giving I am a newbie) with blackberries A smokey vintered Merlot or middle range Zinfandel unless you are serving the berries as dessert then try a sparkling and or a late harvest fortified wine even Muscat. OOPs I read your post backward what to serve with blackberry wine? I am going to say either Korean BBQ or a slow Smoked beef tritip.

Balogne for Hillbilly Hash (yummy) forget wine and go with a good apple smoked beer.

There's a place near me called Bobbie's, they sell freaking awesome frozen custard, and starting in June they have free bands every Friday and Saturday. It's an eclectic mix, and I so love going to listen and having a turtle sundae!!

That sounds groovy!

Where I live there are live bands at least three times a week in open air venues with free admission, and there is at least one festival of some sort every week, often 3 or 4 are going on at a time. Wine tastings everyday of the week.

But, DAGGONNIT, we got no frozen custards!

Sound like delicious fun. Liquor might be quicker but you learn a lot about people by how they eat ice cream. hahahahahahahaha
