just google gigs in your area and that should work, that's what I do

Find your local free-press-infotainment guide. They're usually at music stores and clubs and most newsstands. They list what movies are playing and what's happening in the local clubs and a fair bit more depending on where you are on this rock. Good luck.

Also can say just check Ticketmaster for your local area.
