Got my first harley, when I was 14.
Was a '72 sportster.

My most cherished rebuild, a '41 Indian chief.

Meh... I'm an Indian convert.

I have had only Harleys, a few in the Dyna class Fat Bobs, Super Glides, ect. (my current one). I have had 2 sportsters ( which I loved) for zipping around town.

But I find the Dyna class good for cruising.. JMO, anyway.

I've seen a few Victory and Indian bikes that turned my head. I like the Indian more then the Victory.

But yeah, there is no mistaken the sound of a Harley.. even at a 1 mile way. I would never buy any thing else.

My first was a honda cb360
Then i got my pride and joy in a basket with a yamaha 400 special to hold me over til my bonnie was back together.
I will prolly be burried with my 78 triymph bonneville 750. She has been with me over 20 years.

I must get a bench set up in the new shop soon. She was in pieces for an overhaul when the ship burned in september

Cool stuff mate.
the only downside of bikes is the accidents. Ive had a few friends that died from bike accidents & they were horrific.

Yes, that is my Dyna Super Glide, 1584cc V twin. I put forward controls on it, chromed it out.. a bit.. not too much.. and put Vance & Hines short shot ceramic black pipes on it.

I like the Dyna because it is a good " blank slate" to custom the way you want.

I had a question coz im not really an expert with bikes....which harley models & choppers are those that have a thick wide rear rim & tyre & the front is also a lil thick, not the thin one like most choppers? Those really look wicked

If you get the chance to throw a set of V&H pipes on your bike.. do it.. ever in the Harley world.. it is a unmistakable sound. and the ceramic is great..no blue pipe. and yeah.. there are only certain " open area's" where you can even get it into 6th gear...but when you do.. you fly ;)

Have no fear romeo. She WILL ride again. The only depressing part is that there aren't enough hours or dollars to make it happen this summer

A lot of pan heads are " chopped" these are " old school type" bikes.. wicked.. nice..

HD has a Rocker, which I like.. may get one ( friend is selling it).. it is pretty much chopped and dressed... nice looking bike.. but basically a " Saturday Night" solo seat type bike. Good for cruising with your friends.

But really , most any bike can be chopped these days to include the thick rear tire...anything in the V Twin size ( larger cc).. seen some sportsters chopped.. didn't look right.. JMO

I learned a long time ago.. it doesn't matter what you ride.. as long as you ride ;)
