Yes karen1997 usually when you have hairy legs it don't skip the knee caps1 It would look kinda weird having two bald knee caps while the rest of my legs are hairy.

I know SitkaRains, Some people just want to criticize negatively on some other peoples appearances . I checked out your profile and pictures and like it. I find nothing wrong at all about it. In my opinion I find you are a real and genuine person from what I read and seen. I don't mind at all constructive criticism or a bit of teasing but when it's aimed at trying to put someone down it doesn't bother me at all because it hasn't got anything to do with me but with them. Ok First off Welcome to Mingle.

As profiles go this is not the worst I have seen by a long shot. But since you actually sound like a nice guy as I read down through the thread I am going to try to give you some tips to tweak it.

Your lead shot is actually not a bad photo but it is not a great lead shot because when it gets small in forums you kind of fade into being forgettable since we can't see your face and a smile will definitely help your over all chances so don't pic something where you are squinting into the sun. Good move not trying to hide the fading hair line with some dumb hat. You are normal for your age group. Actually built nice regardless if you consider it short or tall. In my neighborhood you are tall or at least above average.

I don't know why you are being teased about your shoes at the river but hey maybe it is a failed attempt at flirting. You can mix up the wardrobe in shat as you add them.

I would suggest you not insult yourself by referring to being vague, lazy, or your appearance. Use valuable profile space telling your pluses. A good place to start is expanding your interests by saying reading what, writing about what, and how you are outdoorsy. Do you camp, ride a bike, fish, swim, or are you homeless/nudist? Just kidding. Try to insert a little of your lifestyle /routines without getting too long winded. Focus on ways a female would probably like to share. Maybe find a positive way to describe how you are a homebody? Do you like cooking for friends, do you grow a garden, or like to do home improvements. Do you have a pet or hobbies at home that makes being at home pleasant.

Four times your profile says you are looking for someone Special but if you don't give a clue what makes a woman special to you it just sounds like you are repeating yourself. You have a right to like a personality type, a physical type, an intellectual type, even and emotional type. Several adjectives could make it easier for your type to say Yippee that is me and if you invite them to tell you more about them rather than sounding kind of disinterested to bother to write more your chances of a response get a lot better.

I would ditch the snotty "I work" under profession. Nobody is reading profiles to report to the IRS and almost everyone works at something. What most women are looking for is common ground and a vague idea of your lifestyle. Few people have their ideal job and many have career interests but support themselves with what is available. This is a real people site not Millionaire matchmaker so something a little more descriptive would maybe lead to a conversation starter. Or better yet a good association. Would it be terrible if some4one had a friend or family member that they like and know a little about what you do in a positive lite.

The thing that is important is if you do not distinguish yourself from all the other bazillion guys you will get lost in the shuffle and once someone has passed on your profile it is really hard to get them to take the time to look again.

If you jump in the forums and keep updateing your profile with new current photos or other interesting tid bits then your chances increase.
