.. no electricity or running water.. I guess you really would have quite the bush........... mentality..

I have before and I will again! For three months I traveled the wilderness carrying everything on my back: food, clothing, shelter.

No electronic devices, certainly no make up or brassieres, although I did have shoes in the beginning because years of ease had made me tender footed.

I drank from natural springs and creeks, snacked on wild blackberries, slept on the ground with no blanket or pillow, and washed my clothes by slapping them on a rock (yep - in the nude!). I rose with the sun and lay down with the moon. I didn't shower unless it rained and that was without soaps of any kind, I bathed in two rivers I had to cross. The only "modern" personal hygiene products I had were a toothbrush and paste. Leaves were my toilet paper (and one time a sock).

The people I encountered when I passed through a town or recreation area were extremely friendly and accommodating of my smelly, dirty, happy self. They offered me a bed for an evening or two, hot meals, use of their facilities, provisions for my travels.

It was FREEDOM.

Oh a woman can still take care of herself quite well in the bush..Waxing, manicures, pedicures...You name it...
Just because you can live off the "grid" or in the "Bush" as we up here in Alaska call it by no means I am going to resort to cave woman style body.. Nope Nope not going to happen
