One that entices the reader to want to write to you.....

Secondly having a presence on the forums....
where many people will read your views and respond to you....

And lastly...time, like more than one day.....

I thought about soft soaping this and decided you were sincere and not just griping so here is my take on internet dating...
It isn't pretty...

When I read a profile you have about 30 seconds to grab my attention I want to read something about that person that interests me. I want him to have something in his profile and NOT all the shirtless pic's to give me a point of contact that I can talk about...

I equated profile writing kind like describing myself to aperson that couldn't see, hear, all they had was touch and my words in braille. That helped me write my profile..

Welcome to Mingle2. I find there are a lot of women (and men) on here. I am guessing you mean "the one " particular woman that you will be happy with. Have you learned to use the search feature yet? I live in a rural area. When I search for a particular area near me, it comes back with "not enough matches" and gives me a much larger area. Try different search criteria and see if you don't find someone interesting. A bit more info about you will help a woman see if she is interested in contacting you :-) Best wishes!!!
