According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

When we talk about salvation, some people don't understand it; it's a big word. It encapsulates all the wonderful blessings resulting from the redemptive work of Christ: salvation, healing and divine health, success, freedom, liberty, preservation, etc.; they've all been paid for! They're yours now to enjoy! All the good things of life are all in the salvation package; the glorious life is your heritage. Prosperity with peace is your birthright.
Read the opening verse again; it says His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. That's not a promise; it's a statement of fact, expressing what God has already done. In Christ Jesus, He's given you everything that you require for the transcendent life; they're all inside you. Christ in you is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27), and Christ is everything.
Therefore, you're forever set up for the triumphant life. In Christ, you have it made; all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21)! This is what makes Christianity so awe-inspiring; the life that God has given you is the divine life, and everything you'll ever require to live joyfully and triumphantly, came with that life.
Remember this: Jesus shed His blood for you, being the only sinless one qualified to save us by His blood. Since He's already done it, all you need do is enjoy the benefits associated with His vicarious sacrifice. You have legal rights to possess everything salvation in Christ brings, for they're your blood-bought inheritance in Him: "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will" (Ephesians 1:11).

CONFESSION:
Christ lives in me; therefore, I'm made for life! His divine power has given me everything I require to live joyfully and victoriously every day! Success, prosperity, divine health, promotions and the glorious life are my blood-bought inheritance, and vital experience in Christ Jesus! I have a goodly heritage. Halleluiah.

Amen, but just wanted to say one thing. This entire thread was great, please don't get me wrong and not saying one wrong/bad thing about it. But it reminded me of the "baptists" that I've had experience with. Now I understand we are no longer judged by "works" but all lays on "faith" in Jesus Christ. Which is sort of what your post is about. And is all great and dandy, but reason I mentioned the baptists I've had experience with in their insight/thought was they could basically live as they wish because Jesus Christ already paid their payment, payed the cost for their sins. Which is true, to a degree. But people always forget "faith without works is dead". We may be on a "faith" based system now, but again faith without works is dead. Jesus did pay our price, amen to that!!! But nevertheless that doesn't give us a right to go around sinning thinking "oh I'm forgiven, Jesus already paid the price."

My dear sweet brother, CowboyGH, you of all amongbgst many, judging from the number of posts you've had here, should know that, though every preacher/teacher may, and do have their own way(s) of presenting their messages. None amongst them I dare say encourages laziness, or ridundancy. Like you have rightly pointed out 'faith without work' means you end up with nothing. Baptists or teachers or prophets has declared a word of knowledge to the people present, which is powerful enough, but the truth remains that the Words thus declared is gonna work only for those who'll take it up by faith and run/work with it. Otherwise it won't work.
Luke 5:5-6, Matt. 13:18......

In this case, this teacher/preacher has not simply said to take the Word and go to sleep...

Most often times, people misunderstood "Isaiah 40:31, to mean "go to sleep after you have preached, spoken in tongues, sang some soul searching songs, prayed very hard etc...

Dear brother, was I any help?

Yeah a bit, I really didn't need any help necessarily to understanding your point in your original post. Just posted the baptists thing as it was relative and others that read this thread may see that which I posted. I was mainly talking about those that party/drink/ect on Friday/Saturday, then go Sunday to, so to speak, butter God up for their previous actions in hopes of finding forgiveness. And that form of action in MY eyes, not saying God does or doesn't, but in my eyes that would make the faith and or the asking of forgiveness in vein.

And what I originally posted may not be standard for baptists in general, I've not had many "studies/worships" with them. But the church I have had experience with and or the people within that church thought as I mentioned.
