They are totally separate entities. Found in verses such as when Jesus was on the cross the Father said "This is my son in whom I'm well pleased". And other various verses as such showing totally separate entities. Even before Jesus was "born" in the flesh, when still referred to as the Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was WITH God. They are one God, but different entities, different beings, for again the word "God" is purely a title. Again, why we are referred to as gods, Jesus is referred to as God, and Jesus refers to his father as God. But in the end it doesn't matter that 'WE' are referred to as gods as well or anything along those lines. For Jesus is the God of gods. Another switch-back... Now, You're saying Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are separate Entities, where-as in the past You've said they are one Entity but separate Beings. (Mincing Words Big-Time Here) I understand You believe the word 'God' is a title that represents a collective. I'm not certain where You'd find the reference to ourselves as being gods, but that does sound more like a Quasi-Mormon/Buddhist thing, too. **************************************************************************************************************************************** To top things off... ! Uche9aa has introduced seven hills of Babylon of which I haven't a Snow-Balls hope in Hell in trying to figure-out. All I can say is, "I Hope They're Well Rotted-Out And Don't Smell Anymore !" Now, You're saying Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are separate Entities, where-as in the past You've said they are one Entity but separate Beings. (Mincing Words Big-Time Here) I'm sorry you seem to have misunderstood me. I'll try to clarify this a bit. I never once claimed them to be the same entity. They are separate entities, but same God. The word God is used for a TITLE. That's why again - John 10:34 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? - Psalm 82:6 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. James 2:19 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. And there is absolutely no contradiction there. Because again "god" means being of authority. And we only have authority over the beasts of this world "dominion over the beasts" and God has authority over us, making him our God. And when Jesus came to Earth, he came in the form of a servant. So with being a servant, he would then have to serve someone(s). And that was God the father Jesus was serving, therefore that made God the Father Jesus' God thus while Jesus was on the cross he cries out "my God, my God, why..." |

The word God is used for a TITLE. I've brought-up 'Charity VS Sin' again so You could be quoted. ****************************************************************************************************************************************** Perhaps we should discuss Your concept of the colective title God ? So, we are to assume, "They Is God... !" CORRECT ? |

Context is very important to know who is being referred to. |

Yes, they is God. The Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. All one God. Not one greater then the other, "I and my father are one". Philippians 2 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Just to give You an idea of just how messed-up some verses can be... (Philippians 2: 5+6) - 'Keep this mental attitude in You that was also in Christ Jesus... Who, although he was existing in God's likeness, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he'd be equal to God.' (Virtually, Saying The Exact Opposite) |

Still showing two separate beings as he didn't feel it robbery to be equal to this other being. And it's not robbery as again "The father and I are one". |

"'He gave no consideration to seizure'"
In other words, 'HE DIDN'T CLAIM TO BE GOD !' |

(Philippians 2: 5+6) - 'Keep this mental attitude in You that was also in Christ Jesus... Philippians 2:5-6 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: "'Thought it NOT robbery to be equal with God'" THE EXACT OPPOSITE ! |

Still showing two separate beings as he didn't feel it robbery to be equal to this other being. And it's not robbery as again "The father and I are one". In the beginning of this statement You say, "'two separate Beings'" then... You turn-around and say, "'Father and I are one.'" *************** Same Old Vacillation ************** |

Here's a real simple thought, Cowboy GH...
(John 7: 16) - Jesus, in turn, replied to them, "What I teach is not mine, but belongs to Him that sent me." |

Hi Realcarebear,
Hey first of all, I want to commend you on your zeal for obedience to the command and spirit of God. Bless you. I just went through this with one of my friends pastors because I figured that if I were going to get anything right that this one should be easy right? I mean come on, how hard it is to choose or set aside one day? Fortunately, he's a lot wiser than myself. His answer: the Old Testament laws were for the Jews. Now don't stop yet though, in Christ the law is made complete. Being in Christ the law for us is fulfilled. As we walk in the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, we are not under the law but under grace. And finally, remember how not even Moses entered the promised land but only Joshua and Caleb? The Lord promised that none of the Israelites except Joshua son of Nun and Caleb would enter INTO HIS REST! Now if I recall that's taking two verses and joining them. Nevertheless, where you may be at, where I was, was not 'entering' into the rest of the Lord. Shutting down, disconnecting, turning off, and by choice, by will, striving to quieten myself and enter His rest, not my own resting. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” NIV Also, remember in Galations where Paul talks about some esteem one day above the rest while others see every day as alike. Again, he's talking about us Gentiles. Go to Him, that still small voice inside of you and ask Him to show you. Dear Lord, I just pray for our brothers and sisters in this forum and around the world. I bring to you the Jewish people, those with their trust in you and those without. I recall all the other people who haven't yet come to be saved as you said that God is patient, that none would perish but a would come to eternal life. Lord please grant those who trust you the assurance of their faith, the agreement of the Holy Spirit with their spirits. Jesus, I pray this in your name, and ask you to agree with me and hope everyone that reads this will as well. Save those who don't yet trust you lord; help us all have faith that your name would be glorified through your son and his name. Amen |

Talking about the three personas of God, Christ always referred to God as Father, ie when praying; you can google exact verses if you need.
As for Christ, John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. And to confirm, Colossians 1:15-20 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. As for the Holy Spirit, His persona is a definite. His gender (note I used the pronoun his out of convenience) is a bit of a more in depth discussion you can refer to here: http://www.gotquestions.org/Holy-Spirit-gender.html As for absolute genders, Christ was/is male, God and Holy Spirit are spiritual, ie without bodily form. As for their functions, that's a different thread altogether. As the other arguments against the bible, God, and Christ go? I believe God said this and I believe God tells the truth: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. NIV what you did looking for the sabbath I went and asked for 10 years. Most admitted the sabbath was on Saturday when in private. Asked why they did not teach this? They might lose thier jobs. How could they save souls if the church admitted they had made a mistake. (Funny they preach you need to admit your mistakes) Most have to answer to a board of directors in the church. Every say couple of years thier contract is up for renewel. They have family to feed and i know it is hard to understand but unless you are the head you are an employee. The head maybe subject to the board also. This is the Govt. 501c laws of tax deductible charity laws. So the Govt. says what and how your church conducts business if they want thier non profit status.sad but true and most members will give more if they get a tax deduction which is mainly for the riches people in your church. Look at your tax form and see how much you need in deductions for say house ect and charitable giving. so mainly the 501 c your church needs is to keep big donors happy. Now when in the service i studied with 2 others and 1 was very devoted to his church. AOG. He did not understand but said we could ask his preacher between sunday school and the church sermon. We did and he after he did not like what i asked him about said he was 2 busy. When the sermon started he stared right at me and my 2 friends and said thier were decievers in the congregation. Wolves with us acting as sheep. that they were here to cause division. they were here to send people away. an anti christ. we looked at each other and felt . wow he is looking right at us. The guy who took us thier could not believe it. he had grown up in this faith and all we did was ask a question and ask about a verse. Believe me or not. I know what I have seen. Church is employment. never forget that. Read this . It is mis quoted in the KJV the scholars made a mistake. The NKJV corrects this to Joshua the son of NUN. But this speaks of creation and the rest and why Yahweh rested. Read it carefully. I hope the best for you in your search. 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief. 7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.4 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.5 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works now this should be Joshua. JC is a mistake held for at least 400 years. The NKJV and others corrected this about 50 years ago. The KJV refuses because they refuse they made any mistakes. the 1611 even is the AUTHORISED Version they will tell you. Read again closely what it really says about how we know who the creator is through faith. JC did give them rest right? Then why does it say if he would have? so what does he say? 0 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. When did he enter into this rest? Blessings in your Search. study to shew yourself approved. Sabbath is one of the signs of who the Creator is to you.Who do you follow. 22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, 24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. 27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. |

bible prophecy describes the sabbath being changed from the day we commonly call saturday to sunday by the "beast". As far as I know unless someone wishes to enlighten me here, the scriptures never references Saturday or Sunday. God made the world in 6 days, rested on the 7th blessing it. By "culture" in the USA anyways Sunday is the last day of the week, as we operate Monday - Friday for the week, Sat - Sun being the Week"end" making Sunday the last day. When in all technicalities by looking at the calender(s) Sunday is actually the first day of the week and Saturday is the 7th, which would then make Saturday the Sabbath. But again as our culture is operated, assuming around the world with Mon - Fri being week ect, it has always just been placed on Sunday. So if someone wouldn't mind, if the scriptures do actually claim for it to be specifically Sunday or Saturday, please do enlighten me. |
