Why do most of the men on mingle seem content to chat on line rather than meet up I thought this was a dating site

personally if you lived in my town.
and I was physically attracted to you.. I would want to meet ASAP.. ... I would rather have you whispering in my ear.. of your true desires.. . then reading your words on LCD screen.. |

i don't like meeting anyone until i know more about them... it usually takes a least a month of chatting/talking first... i don't see any need to meet until we are both ready...

I think the time to meet is very very subjective. I have met in as little as 2 days at a public event I was going to be at. And I have waited for several months when timing wasn't there.
To me there is no rush... what it feels comfortable. I have a friend that if the guy isn't ready to meet within one week she cuts bait and is gone. |

do you think most guys like to exchange two or three back and forth messages and then rush to meet?
just curious me? ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh my the process is a lengthy one the questionnaire alone takes days to fill out then there is the back ground check and clearance the phone calls to his mother, sisters, and his ex whew my goodness |

one more in the not most men category
the forums give a place to see how some one interacts with others and is just plain fun. but until i can find someone loca,l who does not list as - not seen in over a month, and will actually chat long enough to get to let's meet. dating in the real world will have to wait. |

If 2 people have great conversation and they want to see if it continues face to face, go ahead and meet for coffee or drinks. Time frame is irrelevant. Good luck everyone.

Yep, That's what i told her.
"blind" dating i have some experience with, and since we are basically 20 miles and 12 years apart... what can i offer, what is she hoping for from me? why use de internetz if we can sit down in town, talk and exchange much more, much faster, check each other out in one hour instead of investing nights and weeks. I hate being and staying "a bunch of pixels". and if we hate each other on sight? Speed, ladies. turn us men into real beings, i say :) the first thing you should be a kick in the nuts - to cover the sex topic, before saying "hello" meet us, and make us feel appreciated. and pain. :-) |

Ahhhhh.....you ladies should buy "Goof's Online Dating Kit", which includes these and plus you get the all important IQ test, dental records (you chicks want dudes with good teeth) and copies of tax returns. If you really want to go deeper into his life then get the deluxe package where you get info on past girlfriends (and, if he was "experimental" past boyfriends"). |
