All these facts,and some fools still think that there is no God? Big bang my foot! The Big Bang Theory isn't incompatible with belief in deity. it actually is structured like a deity, if we think about it...BBT: first darkness, then everything... Gensis: first darkness, 6 days later, everything... one of the reasons i don't buy into the BBT... So, you don't like the BBT because it doesn't conflict with Genesis. Go figure. |

ONE doesn't mean ONLY... there are many avenues to explore with the beginning of the universe, BBT theory seems lazy, copied and unjustified... the beginning of the universe is something we might never know... |

According to the scientist who originated it, if the hypothesis were true, then astronomers would find evidence that supports it. Well, astronomers did find the evidence. Was the BBT automatically accepted by all astronomers? No. The BBT describes an astronomical event that is responsible for the universe as we now know it. However, the BBT doesn't describe what the universe was like before the BBT occurred. Scientists can't prove that the BBT was the absolute beginning of everything. What came before the BBT is unknowable. So, you are correct when you say "the beginning of the universe is something we might never know..." |

If I am not mistaken, the purpose of the BBT is to explain why the galaxies are all moving away from a central point in the universe. |
