Actually, saving energy is a good idea for so many reasons. Perhaps if we flash our lights passing aliens will stop and visit!

It was good fun - played Cluedo with my kids by candlelight and then went out and looked at the stars. I like the fact that its a global event. Doesn't happen simultaneously, just at 8.30pm wherever you are. It's not new - been happening for 9 years now. Just to raise awareness of the effects of climate change.
