While I understand that Islam doesn't encourage Muslim ladies to show much public extrovertedness, I'd love to know why most of them prefer to remain Alone and Lonely instead of trying to reach out to possible suitors either Online or on the Street:-)

While the Quran does discourage women from flaunting their beauty, it doesn't exempt them from seeking a husband if they don't have one already.
What-is-more...! The Sisters in Islam have free-choice on whomever among the Brothers they wish to approach. Even if that Brother has an existing wife or not. In short, I agree with You Brother Outinsearchofyou... Why aren't the Sisters making themselves available?

Islam is a very dynamic way of life which can be adaptable to any era. And in today's world, a Muslimah will be striving to keep Allah's injunction of Marriage if she reaches out when there is a shortage of men reaching out to her.
Instead of simply enduring loneliness, i won't think it is too bad if she reaches out to a man she fancies and says CAN WE BE FRIENDS? and who knows what Allah can bring out of it. |

 I thought it was the other-way-around! I've been on this Mingle Site for over two years, and I haven't had as many Sisters as I can count on one hand actually contact me.

Hmm? i ve been in dating site for almost 1 year. but am single but not available.. hehe. Woman in Islam also has a choice and and mostly strongly believe what is meant to be, will be. So, why worry? But maybe some of Muslima wants to protect their own modesty, thats why we prefer not to expose ourself
