my desk top wig out
dont know what happen actually
i had it on and i walk in the room
and the screen was flashing
i tried to turn it off but the screen was still
flashing
and the motem was semi working
which it is now
but i had to totally unplug
it from the wall

Hold the power button down until the pc shuts down. After complete shutdown, turn it back on and get back with me.

if it was only that simple

lol
meaning the computer went down on its own
but the monitor wont shut down
its flasing on and off with the energy savor logo

Hmmm, it's of course easier to diagnose on site, let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly.......... Like I said, without knowing your components or how old the pc is, it's difficult.

First thoughts...... PSU (power supply). This is usually the main culprit.

Tell me more about your setup. Age of all the hardware.

its over 10yrs old

i have a friend
that normally would
fix my computer
but geeze i havent
been able to get in
touch with him for
about a month
and that is not
actually like him

so i found a computer
tech that works
at corban university
he help me out

all it was
was the monitor
he gave me the extra
one he was using to test
it
which was very nice of him

as for a upgrade
its not that simple
if you dont have the
funds to buy one
