DadCat, so impressed with the parade and can't imagine how much work has gone into the preparations for a procession that will only be for a few hours. Well done!

I have posted a selection of some photoshoots that I particularly like. The dragon troupe has always been my favorite cos' it requires strength, agility and coordination between all the members. Some moves can be so confusing when they twist and turn and they look like they will get all entangled.....LOL!

Here goes..... take the good, and chuck the bad! Happy reading!

Years of the Rooster
...1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029

The rooster is almost the epitome of fidelity and punctuality. For ancestors who had no alarm clocks, the rooster's crowing was significant, as it could awaken people to get up and start to work. Another symbolic meaning this creature carries is exorcising evil spirits. People used to worship ancestors and believed in fortune telling for a long time.

Personality: Strengths
They are deep thinkers considered to be honest, bright, communicative, ambitious, capable and warm-hearted. Strong self-respect and seldom relying on others are their basic characteristics. As most roosters are born pretty or handsome, they prefer to dress up. They have a quick mind and hot temper. They like to be busy and neat. They are not reluctant to fall behind others and hate dawdlers.

Personality: Weaknesses
They might be enthusiastic about something quickly, but soon might be impassive. They are often a bit eccentric and have difficulty relating with others. They are critical and think they are always right. Like their fortunes, their emotions swing from very high very slow. They can be positive but selfish, caustic and too outspoken. They are narrow-minded and vain. They probably refuse suggestions but would like to lecture others. If they can overcome their arrogance being sincerely in speaking, they will make more progress.

Fortune Foretelling in 2015
Roosters will generally have good fortune in 2015. As long as they are willing to try hard, business people and the working class both will achieve great things. Income will increase, but they should make a detailed plan for all expenses. Neither lending money nor loans is suggested. Sometimes they may feel down and traveling will help. In relationships, singles won’t find their love, so it is better to focus on work or study.

Career: Their career will have its ups and downs. They should show their full capabilities in the first half of the year, and their boss will start to pay attention to them. Under this circumstance, they can expect a promotion. In the second half year, as long as they control their temper and focus on team work, they will make much progress. For those who have heaps of spare time, they should make full use of their time for further study. It will be helpful for a more challenging job in the future. In 2015, roosters should act more and speak little.

Wealth: They will have a stable fortune in wealth. Generally, good fortune gathers in October and November, and they should think twice about any risky investment in February, April, June and September. In the first half of 2015, their jobs are the main source of income. They can consider taking one or several part-time jobs. In the second half of the year, they can make a proper investment, such as purchasing stocks or bonds. Roosters born in the year of 1969 should not lend money to others, or the money will never return.

Relationships: Singles may encounter several potential pursuers in the first half of 2015, but it seems that none of them will be the right person. In the second half of the year, they are more likely to find their love. They should get to know a person well before getting into a serious relationship. Lovers and couples may have some arguments with their partners. Mutual trust and communication will make their relationship stable. They should never lose patience, or there is the risk of breaking up.

Health: They will generally be healthy in 2015 and will hardly ever get sick. However, they may feel pressed and upset sometimes. Under these circumstances, they should speak about it to others or do some sports to relax. If eating too much, they may feel uncomfortable in their intestines and stomach, so they should watch their diet, especially in the first half of the year. In the second half year, avoid staying up late and be careful driving to avoid any traffic accident.

Study: Rooster students will work hard but gain little in 2015. They should not feel stressed due to this. Instead, they should allocate their time for study and relaxation carefully. Keep a harmonious relationship with classmates and teachers who can help roosters in their study.

Happy New Year ... and love the symbols...

Hehehe......mystical, the Chinese New Year is now 2 1/2 months old!
Great that you love the symbols.... I can actually read some simple words cos' the chinese characters are so numerous! And to confuse the already confused, changed over the years to simplified versions.

I have started a thread 'Everything Chinese'.... do post there! Thanks
