Ehxsnohs: I have to agree with Sean on this. Long distance can work just as well as local. Sometimes you just have to go for it. You have a past experience that you can use. Don't live on what if's ... take a chance, be careful, and let him make you smile. Good Luck!

No long distance relationships. They don't work.

I am in one now , so I cannot tell you how it will turn out, I only know he makes me laugh, and we get along fabulously on the phone and in eail. I am looking forward to actually being with him in two weeks. Counting the days and nights

eh, long distance relationships can be great by phone with all the intro's and all that...but beware if all the guy is trying to do is work his into your heart first and then your pants when you meet. Then all of a sudden you don't hear from him. Look in the Poems forum and look at my poem I wrote on long distance love. For your sake I hope it works out. Good luck.

You know this topic has been an on going question. Does it work? Yes it does!

What you put in to life is most likely what your going to get out of it. You have to work for what you want. Nothing comes easy in life but in the long run, looking at this way. If you both are willing to work together it will work. There is no way around it. It takes both to be willing to give.

I think if LDR's didn't work, online dating wouldn't exist. I think it's a risk or chance... but at the same time- so is meeting somebody face to face.

My guy is 7000+ miles away... but in all seriousness, he is the closest person to me.

I think it has a lot to do with the individual needs of the parties involved. He's military, stationed far away... and I have little time to do much because of work and single-parenthood.

In March he's hopefully taking leave and we're going to vacation in Arizona together. I'm excited.

Of course, we started out penpals and worked it from there...

So, yes... it really can work- provided the parties involved understand the circumstances and accept the challenges that face them as a result.
