Any coffee addicts out there like me...???

There's No Coffee

It's time to get up
As the alarm clock rings,
I yawn and stretch
And scratch among other things.
I walk to the kitchen
Turn the light on to see,
I couldn't wait for
My first cup of coffee.

I grab for the filter
Then I grab for the pot,
To fill it with water
The coffee can I got.
Only half awake
I began to realize,
When the top came off
I got a big surprise.

There's no coffee
NO this can't be,
This can't happen
No not to me.
I've got to have my java
Got to have my caffeine,
If you've never been through this
You don't know what I mean.

I sit at the table
With chin resting in hand,
Stirring an empty cup
Wishing I had my brand.
A day without coffee
Is like a day without sunshine,
I might as well go back to bed
Wake me when it's suppertime.

Hey I've done that! Then mumbled and grumbled and fumbled to get cash, throwing on cloths I didn't give a thought to, found the store with one eye open, first to find the hot coffee they brewed, that would enable me to find the stuff in the can I know they have here somewhere....
