On February 19 2013, the 21-year-old Canadian student's naked body was found in one of the rooftop water tanks of Los Angeles's Cecil Hotel. Lam had been missing since January 31 and her decomposing corpse was only discovered when hotel guests complained of water that "tasted funny."

Lam's last moments alive were captured on film in the hotel's elevator, and the disturbed behavior you can see in the video above is truly chilling.

Lam had a history of bipolar disorder which might explain her behavior in the elevator (no drugs were detected in her system during an autopsy), but there is still not an adequate explanation as to how the petite young woman could have put herself in the the water tank.

These huge and hard to access water silos had incredibly heavy lids and although they weren't locked, they were alarmed. How Lam "accidentally" drowned in these circumstances is still an absolute baffler.

the one thing i noticed was the elevator doors never tried to close, till after she left...

...unlocked...?

apparently it was locked....and that makes sense cause the dogs didn't smell a thing when they were up there earlier....

To me the hole thing is SLOPPY police work. Rule out murder cause yeah...they were too late.

After 2 weeks it would have been difficult and highly expensive to find potential suspects back and even more difficult to prove anything.

Don't you wave your hands to simply check if the sensors are working ? I know for myself I do that.
And I could also wave my hands to the air thinking out loud...wtf...

Alright some of the movements are strange...but when a computer or an elevator is not working there are probably all kind of things that go through your head.

Police chose to just show that video when she went missing...hmm...they probably knew it would tag her as strange...

Smart thinking after all she was from Canada...you don't want an international incident.

Later they know that it was minutes before she allegedly drowns herself...naked ?

...Depression or bipolar....ok, that just makes her an easier prey.

Sorry but sometimes the obvious (like rape and murder) is just ruled out way too soon....or they DO have suspects but just can't prove it...which seems to me....most probably the case...and they had to dismiss it an accident....again...costs and too late

huh grumble

Strange to say the least.
I'm actually sorry I watched that because it's a little scary.
I don't know enough about Bipolar so can't comment there, but the lady looked scared of something.

If I was forced to give an opinion I would say murder that is being covered up for some reason.
