this is not necessarily a bug, but it is a possible negative comment. a couple of days ago, the site was down for a short while. then when it came back up, there was a tremendous increase in the amount of potential matches to choose from. now after a few days of observing it, I notice that all the additional choices are people who essentially are not using the site anymore. they all indicate "last seen over a month ago" they are not active. so we are wasting our time selecting people who are not available anymore. I also notice that most of them are not the greatest lookers in the world either. I suspect that somebody decided to pull all the dead wood out of the closet to give the impression of higher activity and increased likelihoods, when in fact it is not true. it makes me feel that I am largely wasting my time with dead issues. it certainly does no good to try to meet or match someone who has moved on and no longer uses the site. makes me think it was better the other way.

Thanks for the post, bobspock. This appears to be a post-operations-move issue that will normalize, but we'll come back to it if necessary.
