i'm a direct descendant of the Borgia family of Italy and i do a little research from time to time to fill a little family tree and the site said the Borgia's were "the most infamous and evil family in Italian history"

Really...we need more than that...

hmmmmmm so your offened because the Internet has done research in your family, and it all has not shown up as good, what family doesn't have its good and bad...........prove the internet wrong and show what good your family has done

Just because someone's ancestors might have been evil does not mean the future relatives are.

Actually, the Borgias do have the reputation But, you have to look at their actions within the context of the times in which they lived. While some members did some atrocious things, they also did some really wonderful things, culturally and politically. And what they did, while maybe not so nice, was much more accepted in that particular time period.

Not necessarily anyway...unless the evil behavior persists.

Sounds to me like someone wanted to volunteer this information to share with everyone. Kind of like how people get off on the fact they would like to believe they are considered "Crazy" or that they "Don't giva S$!t" and so they are like "I'm crazy huh?" "I am not crazy, but everyone else thinks I am. Tee Hee". Let's see how the reaction follows to determine what the intentions really were. Besides, that is the only way to find out, right? i'm very proud of my families...not so proud of the fact that the Borgias are now one of the most powerful mafia families to date...but both sides of my family come from royalty or nobility and they've both done a lot of good for their countries but the way societies are trained today is to focus on the bad...it just bothers me sometimes....sorry..i'm a little moody for a guy...lol

congrats! You have just proved my thoughts. You want everyone to know/believe you come from a powerful mafia family because that's what you get off on. If my family was involved in something like that, I would believe they wouldn't want anyone to know who they are and such. That is what separates mafia from your neighborhood wanna be gangsters. Because they (neighborhood whelps) are the ones who go out shouting who they are and get arrested for petty crimes like dumb asses.
