Discovered your request for prayers for your friend rather belated but I thought I would recommend seeking out a PACE program in her local area for your older friend who is struggling to recover from an injury and complicating health issues. They are available in many cities and are a wonderful program offered/funded under the Medicare program. Generally speaking they are a day center program that provides medical, recreational, and other support services so people can live independently in their own home with week day visits where they are picked up and transported, in accessible vehicles, to and from the center as little as two days a month to 5 days a week. The activities and care is customized to the needs of the consumer and from every report I have a Godsend for the consumer and their friends and family that care about them. You can find out about these programs and other services for community residents through a confidential trained resource volunteer by dialing 311 from any AT&T phone. Have a pencil and paper available to write the answers to your questions. Hope this makes for a more joyous Christmas for all.
