He was single
On mingle Skeptical it could be, Worth spending time, With no monthly fee. Up went his picture To show he was male, He added some interests And every detail. He left it at that, for a week or so, He had a busy life, he liked taking it slow. Then on a Sunday, he went to sign in, To an inbox, just over, a dozen women! 1/3 were scammers; 1/3 seemed phony; But 1/3 were real; And so starts his story. Delayed conversations Became perfectly clear. The need for his patience To pass the veneer. What's behind the I'm perfects? The life is so greats!? The glamorous shots That all seemed so fake. Now with a few, he's startING to feel, That maybe they are, in fact the real deal. Reading replies all short, smart and funny, They don't seem so desperate, jaded or lonely. to be continued, till the end of his story. GN 2014 |
