once a year
we sit around
a table or gathering
within large groups
at a church or a center
to share upon others
around
as we wish them
thanks and wish
them a new day
and tomorrow
as thanksgiving
comes and goes
which an be old
as you know
as some have memories
of loved ones that have
past away on this special
day
remember the good memories
not the bad
remember
what had been cherished
no matter what had
gone wrong
for you have shared
a space beneath
your heart and soul
as where hearing
the tone of ones voice
brings back a peace
of mind
