I�m oldfashioned too. There is nothing wrong with it. Oh yes, i met a man who told me that somebody would find me frigid (it was the 2nd date) but he won�t. Just as it would be something I should be ashamed of. Well, when I finished with him (was really angry) he looked very poorly and very apologising I even felt pitty for him
Noone should ever force somebody to something like that in any way. And never let yourself to be forced to it by any talk. It�s just about you and your feeling what is the right thing for you.

There really should be no expectation on either side whether something will or will not happen. That includes sex, "clicking", whatever. Things will happen naturally in their own time... or not ever. To me, those "rules" of dating were valid in highschool I guess, when I had no clue about all this stuff, but I hope I know better now.

For some, the chemistry is so intense on that first date that sex will happen. For others, the burn takes longer to build up. It's all a matter of matching and compatibility. This is why some dates work out and some don't. Usually, I don't think it's the fault of either, it's just a mismatch that's all.

So what does that make me , prehistoric , I was raised and still believe that sex should be between a husband and wife only. Yes I have dated women, but I've never slept with them. I'm not ashamed of this, more proud of it. I know others would disagree but that's their problem.

Yes, "old fashioned" seems to be my term as well, but I don't mind it. I will always follow thru with My "rules for Me" no matter what others say. I have been called even worse when I point out that there will be no sex until we both are ready for that step, no matter the amount of dates. Keep to your rules for You OP and don't let anyone persuade you otherwise :)

I THINK YOUR RIGT. I am old fashion to my pictures may not say that but Iam. I like to talk on the phone not text a man if I am interested in them or them me. I like to go to the movies or go to the park and walk or go fishing just to get to know one other. But as far as jumping into bed with them the first thing. I don't believe in that . I am going to be 59 in a few weeks and Iam want a man who hold my hand and I know he will be with me healthy or sit by my bed side if I am sick. That hard to find on any dating sites I found.

I just wanted to say also I have been told I will never find a man that will hold off on sex unil we are in a relationship. Men has called me nut or I don't know what I am missing if I don't give into them. I think there should be a free site for people young or older who is old fashion . So we don't have to go through all these rude men or women on here that just looking for sex sending me naked photos. It not fair to us old fashion people on here.
