Topic: Strong and Shy Personalities | |
---|---|
Ever notice how some people are shy, and some have strong personalities? Online, many shy individuals, feel a little more at ease, behind the keyboard then if they were in public. Isn't this true? The shy ones can answer this.
I've found some of these, otherwise shy individuals, really shine online. I mean the humor, the insight that might not have been noticed in a public setting, has a chance to flourish. I've always been told I have a strong personality, I know that bothers some. I've been a class clown my whole life. I should have done stand up comedy. I chose to perform musically. Aside from Humor, being on stage singing is an awesome feeling. Unless you can't hit the notes, which has happened many times Anyway, what I'm saying is, personality comes easy for me. The internet opens a new world for the shy, to put us all on the same level. I applaude the shy for opening up online and showing the world, who they are, and what they are about. |

Yeah, I'm shy....so timid, you would never get a 'Boo!' out of me..
( People's perceptions.....we are only mirroring, that which others choose to see) |

You are so right. Me --I'm hunting for a wife and have found I can actually talk on here without turning into a mute where if it were in person all I could do would be either just look and dream or totally ignore.

Well, it's weird for me. Sometimes, I'm shy at first online, then I start to relax, and other times I'm fine right off. But it's the same in person. I'm quiet and shy until I feel comfortable.

What I've noticed Is I've chatted online with some that say they are really shy in person, but after a few weeks online and some phone calls. They seemed very outgoing in person. Maybe cause they had more time to adjust and feel comfortable.

That's the "funny" thing about sense of humor. Too many different styles. I tend to me more open to all aspects, trying to find the lighter isde of everything.

The more time spent with me, online or what ever the easier it is for me to lose my shyness..sure it may not seem that I am shy here, but I have been for for awhile and have gotten to know most people here...to talk to me on the phone the first few times..I am very quiet..even when I first came here I was very quiet...now look at my post count..I chatter a lot, but I also post a lot of poetry.

I think people are a bit different depending where they are......and who they are with. I can be very quiet at work....not with my patients but with my coworkers because Im in "work" mode.....concentrating all the time and I dont go for the gossip pool.......
