Anyone else as thrilled as I am about the Cubs being in the playoffs?
This is their year...! I've said so all year and I mean it!

Go Cubbies! Cub random is a tradition in my family. It would be awesome if they go all the way this year. Unfortunately my grandparents have said that waiting for the Cubbies to win is all that keeps them in this world.

P.S. I love my family very much and they said this to me on the phone, so it's OK. We joke about things allot and that's why my grandma got a life-size cardboard cut out of Sammy Sosa and told my grandpa he'd better shape up. she also says she doesn't care that Sammy is no longer with the Cubs, she she says it's her one senior moment and we have to live with it.

At his age, Ryno wouldn't do much good. The team they have is obviously great, or they wouldn't have gotten so far.

Well, the Cubs were lucky to have been in an incredibly weak division this year. Their win total wasn't impressive (85-77) but Piniella did a great job considering what he had to work with.

Since this is STILL the Cubs we're talking about here, I will go out on a limb and predict they will be bounced in the first round, although Arizona is not exactly the 1927 Yankees either.

It's early, and the post-season hasn't even technically started yet, but I like Cleveland....

YES- this is CUBS BASEBALL we are talking about. (I think I remember a story about being dropped on my head as a small child)... but, nonetheless...
