well love is a very complex thing as the variety of responses indicate. Bonny and Jess have captured it so well.
for me, i have known a few times in my life that the person standing before me is someone who i will never forget and who has made a difference in my life. that they will care for me without prejudice and with all their being as i also care for them. it is a fire which transforms in its consummation. you find yourself affected in a way which precludes selfishness. and it is the most beautiful feeling.
i invite you to read the RUMI and A Mood threads under Poems... as well as many of the other original works there. they are simply full of love and affection.
