RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL;

YOUR REFLECTION IN HIM.

TUESDAY, OCT 7TH, 2014
-Pastor Chris

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye maybe blameless and
harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain (Philippians 2:14-16).

The underlined portion of our theme scripture says, “Holding forth the word of life.” When you hold forth the Word of life, you’re holding
out the picture of Jesus, for He is the Living Word, and He is life. The beautiful thing about
that picture is that when it’s held out, people see themselves and how beautiful they are; they see a reflection of themselves in Christ. God’s
Word mirrors us. 2 Cor. 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
As we look into God’s mirror, which is His Word, where the beauty of Christ is expressed,
we’re changed into the same image of glory that we see in the Word. Then you discover
you’re not the weakling you thought you were; you're not the disease-stricken fellow or drug addict for which others had written off. You’re the glory of God. Christ is your beauty, and your righteousness. As He is, so are you, in this world (1 John 4:17).
This is why it’s so important that you study and meditate on the Word. As you do, you see the reflection of who you are in Christ, and your
inheritance in Him: “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his
grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Acts 20:32). The more you look
into the mirror of God (His Word), the more faith comes to you, and the more you become what you see in the Word (Romans 10:17).
Glory to God!

PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank you for the revelation of Jesus in the Word. As I look into the Word, I’m transfigured, from glory to glory! I'm so grateful, Lord, that not only is my life the
expression of your righteousness, but also the
manifestation of your beauty, wisdom, and excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
1 John 4: 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. Col. 3: 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
James 1: 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
