Have you ever done any random acts of kindness or had them done to you? Its one of the things I enjoy in life.... So I have a long list of them ... The cutest one lately is when I bought these two 92 year old women there ice cream.... They were like 4' 8" and come to find out they were twins... That smile was worth everything.... Than we went outside the ice cream store and chatted over it all... Real sweet women....flowerforyou

both zippy.s and Astrid's examples are inspiring in knowing people can do a kindness without any self interest.

when I do a kindness for people, I usually prefer to remain anonymous. it's uncomfortable to have effusive praise for just doing what your conscience dictates.
the most recent was assisting an elderly lady in the supermarket. she was looking a little wobbly so I helped her with her things and made sure she got settled with her husband before going back to my shopping.

That is so heartwarming zippy:heart:

As for me, I used to picked up and totally adopt stray pups sometimes with mange or totally neglected by their owners. I cant stand seeing them with no home or food to eat and worse dying in the street bcoz of severe malnutrition and sickness. It's very rewarding to see them recover and see you as their mom.happy

The best gift life can give you is to make someone else happy.

It fulfills life desires to reach out and make the world a better place to live.

I committed to provide a room with electricity/lighting to children to study at night in a small slum area in my neighborhood. I was not sure how it will work, but when i met the school going children from this poor background struggling with the full moonlight light to study at night, it shocked me and i decided to find a room with electricity around their place and got one, the joy of meeting around 10 children studying at night in a fully lit room makes my heart melt in joy.

It is these acts that we consider small but mean alot in life.

I honestly and truthfully wish this world had more people like you guys,it makes MY day to make someone's day,I've done a few good deeds, but it ain't nothing know one else wouldn't do,and also have people been nice to me in that way too,but my favorite is probably spoiling kids lol!!

When I was in high school, I worked weekends to earn enough for my bus fare & food so as to lighten the financial load of my mum! A friend of mine found out, told someone and he sent me enough during my exam months so that I could concentrate on my studies! I later found out my benefactor was his sister!

I look happy though my life sucks at times, especially when I suddenly found myself being a 'single' parent by circumstances! An ex-colleague of mine once wanted to die as her prior business had failed and she had lost thousands and owed thousands! I then told her of my circumstances and how I was coping.....she was shocked as I always laughed and was happy all the time! It opened her eyes to how fortunate she was! She bucked up and got back into business..last I heard, she should be doing ok!

But...in amerika isn't the old ladies you bought ice cream for the same ones who steal your wallet, and the car you paid through the tollway the one who rear ends you half an hour later?
