Interesting question. let's flip it; how many of us contact someone we wouldn't dream of "doing" in any capacity?

Online *dating* is most assuredly about "Would I do them?" with little or no regard for "Yeah...but would they do YOU?"
It's just one of the many *charms* of the venue.

Do people actually look at the photos and answer based on who they would do?
IMO sort of. I think it's mostly just an initial first emotional impression response. Sometimes that's based on attraction, which is ultimately sexual whether realized as such or not, or based on social/emotional desperation. I think most people treat the feature as kind of a "hot or not at the moment depending on my mood and confidence level" list, or as a means to attempt contact without having to accept responsibility for making contact. |
