You don't sound like a quitter to me mate but I think that you're maybe going about this the wrong way. My advice to you is that the next time she gives you this jazz about how you work together you should say yeah but that you're only doing that to get close to her.

Seems like she wants friendship and you want a relationship. You have to go with what she wants on this one. Be happy that she is your friend and move on to another for a relationship
