I just spent the afternoon !!reading the back ,of this match book...
.. it was a really good read... . tonight I'm going to read the front of the .. matchbook.... .. I especially like the part where it says... strike here.... so suspenseful...  ..hi.u

hi u. I spent today reading manuals on trouble shooting. blech....neck ache. Reset jumpers, start and restart....read computer screens.
And don't ya know there are better ways to light a fire? Last book of matches I had, had my name printed on the cover. You sure that wasn't it? and ooops! My download is done. Gotta burn another disk. I'll be B A C K.

The whole "Conversations With God" *franchise*. Remarkable stuff.
The book that still sticks with me to this day (that I read at 14) is "The Illustrated Man"; I was mesmerized by the stories...and fascinated by the idea of turning a bunch of short stories into a novel. I often wonder if his agent was screaming "Give me something...ANYTHING, man!!!" and out of sheer laziness, he slapped 'em all together simply to meet a deadline. |

I like something with a lot of big words that takes me forever to read cause I have to sound out the words... Then u would love RA Salvatore...the dark elf series.....lots of elvish words.... oooohhhh, that will tie me up for months...

I whole heartedly agreed, until I stopped when i saw he had been a radio program director, newspaper managing editor, marketing..., then I just kinda went..."ah, some place to lead the sheeple.".. I agree with this in bold though, it is a beauteous thought. I do try to help people, without the god part. I don't mean to tread on you mrld, just I don't see, how these people can make money off of religion like that by their position in careers and books. I also am reminded, that I do not have a leg to stand on, since I never read any of the series of books. wikpedia

I had a problem with the whole concept of him making LOTS of money off it. When I said the *franchise*, I meant Books 1 - 3; last I checked (which was years ago), he'd written over 15 pieces AND made a movie, which I've never seen, either. I made peace with it, when I realized that if *God* (for lack of a better word) IS everywhere and speaks to us always and in all ways, it would make sense that *God* would speak to him in via his writing, since he's an author. Others might be spoken to in music, in art, while doing accounting, while playing football, etc...based on what they *know* best. The overall message and concepts resonated with me; I got over being uncomfortable with the messenger's method of sharing the thoughts with *me*, and simply used it as a way to ponder the deeper *shtuff* of life, yanno? |
