Black Butterfly


Morning mellifluously drifts into Spring.
Life walks into an advent mirage.
Glass card-house of mirrors, reflect empty tears.
Chemo flows..... a bane poisonous cocktail.

Noon capriciously masquerades Summer.
Blue skies reflect lucid amber dreams.
Monolithic razor-blade horizon's crumble.
Surreptitious memories fade.
Chemo flows..... a bane poisonous cocktail.

Evening sentimentally caresses Fall.
Green perpetuates mundane blue situations.
Avaricious enemy, precipitation rains pain.
Chemo flows..... a bane poisonous cocktail.

Midnights insidious sarcastic Winter smiles.
Time declares bankruptcy on her life.
Cancer becomes a Black Butterfly of faith.
Deaths lullaby, a enormity curtain call.

I enjoyed reading this!

I read it as a silver lining, the beauty in the ending of ones life story. The short and slightly mundane transition of the seasons, but finally the end of the poisonous cocktail... the seasonal dance, the routine... what a contrast! Loved it!
