Topic: Should we go to war again? | |
---|---|
Right now, a large scale American intervention would be internationally unacceptable...I'm not saying there is no need for a response to ISIS...The power they are amassing is something that we cannot ignore indefinitely...In the meantime, targeted air power response and special forces can hold the line until an effective international strategy comes together...Being goaded into "ground" action would only give extremists an advantage while making America look bad...We have learned that appeasing Sunni Iraq is extremely difficult and jumping the gun could strengthen Sunni support of ISIS...Americans are not ready to accept another war in Iraq...Internationals even less so...We are not the only ones recovering from a deep recession, Europe took one hell of a hit too...Germany is tired of paying and North Africa has exhausted France...This time we need an international coalition that can deal with Sunni Iraq's grievances in a way that will guarantee they will not join hands with ISIS... totally agree and that is what they are working on now ... |

Who is "they"? Obama just admitted that he has NO strategy. And why is he campaigning at a time like this?...September 11 is 9 days away, Mr. Obama. Wake up.

...please !no faith in American security... like they forgot lmao ... The U.S. ambassador in Benghazi was killed on 9/11. Someone in the U.S. State Department forgot. |

i don't know what proof you want, video of guys in red white and blue sucking oil from under a big iraqi flag? In a world where mainstream media is clearly lying and misleading, only thing you can have is assertions.
Again, being a clown and making others into one doesn't mean you're right. I'd think EU government taxes gas at higher rate according to availability, where US make sure they have enough new sources so they can keep the price low. You're right at the last point , EU politicians are same whores like american ones, caring for their agenda, not for their people |

lol...WHY would anyone have faith in American security? Nothing is being done to ensure our safety. Terrorists target on anniversary dates. It is a fact. |

your forefathers created America to be free of europe control, you're right there, amazing goal and achievement, but you gave it all away when the banks fooled you into creating FED and abandoning gold standard.
Now your dollar is a worthless piece of paper, being printed like mad, and people might notice soon. Of course you need something of value to represent it, but it's not gonna be oil , cause you use it all yourself. Too many people seem to want war, and in that case there better be a war, but remember that the international community, the WE west uses, is like 8-10 countries, from almost 200. US made too many enemies, and from people that have nothing to lose, that can live without big tv's and cars. The war might easily end up in a war nobody can win |

Who is "they"? Obama just admitted that he has NO strategy. And why is he campaigning at a time like this?...September 11 is 9 days away, Mr. Obama. Wake up. "They" would be the Obama administration...And I don't think anyone could possibly know what, if anything, they are doing to put together a comprehensive strategy to respond to the threat ISIS poses..."They" should (must?) also include our allies around the world...I think air power is needed in Iraq and Syria, but you can't just drop bombs, there needs to be a plan...So in spite of tremendous pressure to respond with force, just how much can one or a small series of airstrikes accomplish if targets are not identified first?...Like it or not, like him or not, Obama's cautionary stance is the best option we have right now...And it certainly has nothing to do with enhancing a campaign...Politically speaking, his stance is a disaster...Think about al Qaeda, that took 10 years!...ISIS could (will?) take even longer...Are we ready for that?... |

WHAT took 10 years? Al Qaeda evolving into ISIS? They are just a larger, stronger and richer Al Qaeda. And they WILL attack us. It is inevitable. Obama doesn't want to face the fact that "his world" has disappointed him.

Obama is meeting with NATO in Wales on Thurs and Fri. Putin had a mouthful about it. Do we think they might talk about the US getting it's hands on more oil by way of destroying ISIS at the same meeting?

I wonder what would happen if a large coalition army was organized and entered Iraq only to be hit with an Iranian nuke.
