Maybe you're chronically quiet. The most common complaint I get is that I'm too quiet. I used to let that bother me....... a lot. But I am past that now. I'm just naturally quiet and I have come to understand that some folks don't like that. You might consider looking inside yourself to determine what YOU want from life and how you can acheive it without compromising yourself. Then go for it. I've never been suave with the ladies. Too quiet. But it seems to me that trying to "make" a relationship happen is likely to be counter-productive. After many "crash and burns" I think it's better to pursue who you are and what you like. You're bound to make some new friends and acquaintances along the way, and even if you don't find love at least you'll be happy. Too many people are caught up in a situation where they can't do what they want and be who they are without losing their special someone. It could be that you are far better off than you have realized.

Don't ask me I live in the backblocks of nowhere, via Kalamazoo....and 625 000 miles from anyone.

I am often told I am queit..."she doesn't talk much does she?" or if they are being sarcastic..."Don't talk so much!"...LOL
I don't allow it to bother me anymore either. If I have something to say, I will add my 2 cents. I take time in getting to know new people...sizing them up if you will. I have heard many times in my life though, "It's the queit ones you need to watch out for!"

Just my patience in this aspect of my life is wearing very thin especially being above 30.

You have to invite three friends to the site...even if they don't join you get the smileys and you can check who viewed your profile.

Ya know, my smiley's were always there, but didn't have any animation to them until just a day or 2 ago. Weird!

Try a web site called www.meetup.com It seems to be everywhere. I'm having the same problem... I don't go to bars or hangout anywhere, so a friend suggested that site. I found a sailing club and a "Blues" club. Now it's up to me to go to the events and meet people who have the same interests.

dcrdnk...wasn't asking for you forgiveness, I have nothing to be forgiven for. Just a friendly conversation here and most of us are speaking from the heart. True nothing wrong with having fun...but not at the expense of others. Wolfie seems to be a kind and sincere gentleman...and did I mention he is TALL!
