Yikes! That was very grieving. Sending my prayers. My your friend brother's soul rest in perfect peace & Amen!!!

Oh I am so sorry for your friend"s sudden loss, especially as he is so young. What is this world coming to when those who are supposed to be protectors are the very ones killing people?

I'll definitely pray for her and her family. When my Mum died prematurely from cancer, I was devastated and I eventually found comfort in Psalm 23. As you love poetry, permit me to quote it:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want,
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside still waters,
He restores my soul,

He guides me in paths of righteousness, for the sake of his name,
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, For you are with me,
Your rod and staff, they comfort me

You prepare a table before me
In the presence of my enemies,
You anoint my head with oil,
My cup overflows,

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
All the days of my life,
