Topic: What does "nearby" mean?

Would the administrators of Mingle2 please buy a map of the UK - or else a dictionary. When I look for members "nearby" (either near me, or near a member whose profile I have just looked at) I don't expect them to be 100 miles away!

Well, I'm not with the administration of Mingle2 but if you want someone closer to you reset your mileage filters for a closer location search. This will however, decrease the possibilities for meeting someone. Best wishes.

"nearby" is a very illusive term, it all depends where you live in the world. For some areas 100 miles is nearby

It's between a mile and an astronomical unit or parsec... there about!

I think, in an international site like this, where you can actually meet people from other continents 100 miles is "nearby"...
