Would you stay in a relationship if your significant other told you, "I no longer feel that deep love I once felt for you, but I'm willing to stay together until I work through this"?

clarify deep love. in my experience love is not a straight line. everytime it climbs a mountain, it has to hit the ground eventually.

Probably not. They are basically saying I am going to settle for you until someone better comes along. Would be in both parties interest to just end it then.

I'd probably try to fix it. Do some counseling or try and rekindle the flame but not if its all one sided.

Love can die and be brought back to life . Most people just don't know how good you are to them until they move on to someone that doesn't care like you did so I'd say yes

Would you stay in a relationship if your significant other told you, "I no longer feel that deep love I once felt for you, but I'm willing to stay together until I work through this"? there is a high probability. that I would stick around even if we needed to take time apart. there was someone in my life that we were on again and off again for ten years until it was time to move on. I gave the best of myself when I later found myself in an abusive relationship before walking away because I had just enough left to love myself more than that. so given this scenario I would probably hope for the best and be prepared for the worst.

If she hurt me & I still love her YES I would definitely stay with her and give her a 2nd chance (we are only human & do make mistakes after all) but if she hurt me a 2nd time around? Id have to kiss her and say goodbye WHY? A Leopard can never change its spots. Thanks for reading
