This thread is about honesty and bravery, the topic I am going to write about next is about friendship....I wont be posting it for a couple of days though, friendship is a topic I find extremely hard to talk about.
I have already held off for a few days......not brave enough yet to post it. So this post is a written kick up the butt to myself....so now I have to.
Bear with me only a couple more days....

Hello everyone,

Sadness has given me the strength to write this earlier than I first thought.

I thought this piece about friendship was going to be a touching, happy story and it will be, but I��m afraid it is going to start on a sad note.

Tonight I have lost one of my new friends here, she has succumbed to the daily parade of disgusting mail she receives, she is a sensitive, beautiful soul and just can��t take it any longer.....Goodbye my friend.

I grew up with no friends. I had no idea why this was to be my path, well I did have an imaginary friend, my mum explained to me when I was 5 or 6 that my friend was in actual fact a spirit guide who helped me through my loneliness and would help me find my path in life...I am forever grateful for this guidance as I now know who I am and what I am on this earth for.

I did find out one of the root causes of my friendlessness and that was one parent conducting an affair with the best friend of the other......so from an early age I distrusted other guys wanting to be friends, paranoid they would steal away anyone I loved.....damn it this story is still sad.

It has only been in last few years that I have turned this around and broken the cycle....now it��s getting happier.
Two years ago I opened myself to the two guys I work with that I am closest to...I love these dudes and these last two years have been very rewarding.
Just this week I have had to work beside another guy I know and acknowledge and today he opened up and told me he had never had friends....well that was an interesting conversation to say the least, I think we were both fighting back our emotions and I really think friend number 3 is in the circle.

Fast forward to a few months ago and I decided to join mingle......now some of you will know this part of the story but I will repeat it for the benefit of those that are new here...... ��I came on here looking for fun and yes maybe a hookup or two, I got plenty of replies and it was good, then I discovered the forums, and here was my fun.
I was having a ball cracking funnies, being silly, flirting, but like a creeping tide I found to keep up with people I was going to have open up a lot more. Well people embraced me, for the first time in my life there were people that wanted to hear what I had to say, and when I said it they listened.....wow.....the camaraderie extended to me and friendships offered to me has left me shell shocked.��

Well a few weeks has now past and I am still awestruck at the friendship being extended to me, these friendships are becoming really quite special and new friendships are also developing. You will even see my friends list growing, that is most satisfying.

I will never forget those lonely old days, because of that I now always accept new people into my life. In fact I find doing that one the most rewarding pleasures I have ever experienced.

Even though there is this underbelly of dark energy here, I really feel the bright lights will continue to shine and prosper.

I have to say I'm fortunate to have true friendships that have spanned 20 years.....I have friends who I have known since middle school, to high school, to college, and now we share our thoughts as adults......

I also have developed amazing friendships in the virtual world....the people that I have developed these friendships are people I speak to everyday via phone,txt, or on certain sites.....

Friendship means a lot to me....as much as having a relationship with a man I'm interested in.....without all these bonds I wouldn't be the person I am today.......I love each and everyone of them for being themselves, making my life just a little funnier, and listening to me and giving me support when life isn't a damn box of chocolates.....

Anyways they all know who they are and I can't wait to see what develops in the future......SALUT
