Is it any sexier than gettin ripped off by the free sites??

Just curious as to how you're getting ripped off on something that's free?

Me too. Just because they dress smartly, have a good education, and rich, it doesn't mean they're better than anyone. And I want them to know that. You know, men have spoken so soft and eloquent when sending me inbox messages, but after a while, I knew it was just bait, and they normally don't stay on those sites, for the long haul anyway. So why should I believe if I meet another rich guy that he'll be any different. A man can send me the most sensitive messages I've ever heard, but roping me in will be hard to do. Thankgod.

I agree with Shy.

This is the only site I have been on and I'm having fun making friends, men and women.
Had phone conversation with a few.
I've also met a couple of people in person.

I know two people who went through one of the paid dating sites. One met someone and they've been married seven years.
The other one didn't care for it. I think with anything, you get out of it what you put into it. The friend who didn't care for it took the fun out of dating because she looks at it as I have to date and get married because of wanting a child before the next year and a half. So she very much put people off.

I also think that from what I've heard, you have to answer a lot of questions which could significantly narrow your options of meeting interesting people.

I tried E-harmony and did the paid subscription for the month, and after all was said n done after doing the questionaire. It said we can't match you with anyone.

Scoob,
You shouldn't pay attention to questionnaire that tries to put you only in a certain category.
I've told you this and it still holds true, you have many attractive qualities. there is someone special for you. Send you a big hug. flowerforyou

how many of you went on paid dating sites and only find you were getting ripped off

I've paid to be on sites, even here on Mingle2. We all know the risks we take when investing in something with no guarantee. The services are out here and we can pay for them or use them for free, either way there's still no guarantee we'll find exactly what we're looking for as quickly as we'd like, if we ever do.

Personally, my life and interests have changed so much since I've been online for the past year and a half that I'm not studying meeting Mr. Right anymore. I'm too busy enjoying meeting new people and interacting with great minds. If in the process of having a little fun and relaxation my future mate stumbles across my soul and we connect, great! If not.. life goes on... until it doesn't...

Okay, I'm done now... laugh

We're all human and once you pay for something you've made an investment. We all expect and hope for something positive from our investments. Unfortunately we, most of us know that our reality often falls short of our expectations. Nobody no matter where their from likes to loose on their investments. Why add pressure to something that's hopefully intended to bring happiness?

Paid sites have a higher class of scammer.
More 'refined', so to speak.shades

flowerforyou Dream, hugs too!
Think that might have been part of the problem, I'm too sporadic to be put in 1 category. ohwell I'd rather have that then, than be categorized as a certain type.drinker

I've never been a paid site but I know people who have, with mixed results. There are so many free sites now that I doubt that I will ever pay to be on a site. The only good thing about people on paid site is that they are more likely to have two dimes to rub together.
