I think as we age, these things change. A lot.
I used to seek out the 10s. The really good-looking men. I'd go so far as to approach them, and I think they dug the courage. I spent time with very attractive men, and a lot of them were lacking in the brain department. Sex was amazing though... not always entirely fulfilling, however. So, now in my thirties, with a kid, and a career, (and post 13 cumulative years committed to horrible exes), I look for things outside of the physical. Short men are cool. AS LONG AS they don't have any insecurity with it, I won't. But many insecurities are not attractive... not just 'little man syndrome.' Above all else, he has to have integrity. Toward me, and with himself. Know your shortcomings, and have a plan to address them. Be confident although always remain humble and open to new perspectives/experiences. You'd be surprised how difficult these qualities are to find. But it's easy to spot when they're lacking. Which is when I walk. |

Physical attraction is first and what makes me walk away is a shallow personality . I have a zero desire to make her feel inferior to me and I will not stick around long at all if I feel I'm being manipulated. Had more than one overconfident woman find that out the hard way . I am a human being , I will treat you like a human being but you will not treat me lesser than one . There are vastly worse things than being alone. Take no guff from the swine. There is a twisted pleasure to walking away from someone that mistreats you , leave them to roll in their own waste , they will.

I am down to just looking to see if she has a car... (whispering) yeah that's a big deal for me to. Unless he's in a crowded city and using public transportation, still at least have a drivers license. so you want to love a delivery driver? true love indeed.. |

The first thing I look for is a sense that we are on the same page of existence. That can come from a look in their eyes, or better, how they deal with little things in life.
The most likely things to drive me away, are impatience, and calculation. I've run across a lot of people since I started looking again, who have obviously worked out a chart of requirements in their minds, sometimes with hostility attached, and are sorting through guys like me as though they are at a yard sale in a neighborhood they don't care for. |
