If we really wanted to combat against drunk drivers, perhaps we should go down to our local convenience stores around quitting time and lecture all of the people walking out of there with little brown bags concealing their drink of choice.

I'll speak for myself here... I have no problem with anyone walking around town with a brown paper bag if that's what they chose.

Also speaking for myself, there's no need to be politically or humanly incorrect in order to start a discussion between adults. Offensive behavior is exactly that.... Offensive. No matter how you slice it, it doesn't look good on anyone IMO.

Who determines what is offensive and what is not? To some people, simply waking up in the morning is offensive...

I dunno Mr. T... 2 people here took offence to your posts related to your repetitive drunken stupor driving habits... They let this be known see. It automatically becomes offensive when people tell you it offended them see. Do you care?
The real question becomes... Do you post this chit to get an angry response from people? Your posts sure give this impression.

That Sir would qualify you as an instigator/chitdisturber. I'm pretty sure you aren't this way in RL because the first mouthful of chicklets would have taught you something valuable about behaving this way... offending the wrong person at the wrong time.
Naw, you prefer to do it virtually.... Right! whoa

sometimes we have to stop and think. this is a forum where anyone can post. If what someone says reminds you of your life, that is ok. It doesnt mean someone is to blame for that.

Great that we can all post stuff. Even greater that we can choose to avoid threads, or posts, or people we think will remind us of what we dont want to remember.

Lots of posts make me feel deeply. I love that. I get to feel devastatingly sad, excitedly happy, fuming mad, warm and fuzzy....just for logging on. They are my feelings to have. They are not the responsibility of any poster.

I don't come here for anything devastatingly sad or to get fuming mad. Plenty of that around already... I wish I could block all azzholes I choose and not be exposed to their toxic brand of comedy. I can't and the truth is, I wouldn't be caught dead in the same room as some... Should I leave this site because someone enjoys the thrill of baiting others into anger?
What you're advocating here Klc is indifference. You go ahead and be indifferent. waving

Don't be an A$$ just because you're not getting what you want. You said let's be friends. I said ok. Then all of a sudden you are all but hurt because I got engaged. You knew I was dating someone and that I had made it very clear that he and I were forever. So what's your problem?

I don't appreciate those types of posts either John. But some people cannot and will not be stopped from posting things which make a deep impression on someone else's experiences...painful and hurtful as it may be. The question is not indifference in my perspective but that certain comments will be allowed by the rules because they "appear to be in jest" therefore should be taken as such by everyone. As much as I disagree with this it is not my site so I cannot make the rules for it. I can only hope the ones to make those decisions are doing so in a fair manner so as not to show favoritism. But it is what it is and I can choose to stay far away from the type of person who would want to deliberately push the buttons they perceive they can push. It's an attention seeking mechanism which goes highly unnoticed. Best to ignore and leave them to their own devises. What goes around comes around in the end!
