Topic: Can one have a healthy relationship without sex? | |

But then sex is unavoidable if the two you agreed to have sex. Interesting.... |

In some cases sex can be the death of a healthy relationship.

I agree there completely. My last encounter started off so damn awesome! I mean, we clicked immediately, but then we had sex within like four days of meeting, and we just had nothing to talk about anymore.

I suppose you can have a relationship without being... intimate..
I think they call it friendship... if I'm in a relationship with somebody.. I want to be in a full relationship.. and yes that means being ..intimate.. at least at some point.. and then after that regularly. .. I have my friends to chit chat with. I want somebody to share more than chit chat with.. I want somebody who I can express myself with.. someone that knows every part of me.. so there is nothing to hide.. I wanted her to crawl over me inside of me.. I want them to know all of me.. and for me to know all of them.. . being intimate.. it's just another layer of the onion... but without it you do not have an onion.... you have a really close friend... just my opinion.. |

You know...there are some species where the male and female have sex and then one of them eats the other. I'm just saying....sometimes sex can be life threatening. Rather still, what a great way to go out. When you compare it to the myriad of other ways to go out....yeah...this would be a top choice. |

Sound very devoted to sharing yourself with the one you care for, that's beautiful :). But intimacy and specifically "sex" are not automatically connected. People can be "intimate" without having sex and vice versa. Intimacy can come from kisses, walks, movies, cuddling, and so forth without needing direct "sex". If it's only another layer of the onion, why wouldn't you have the rest of the onion without that layer? |

What will happen when either partner HV that desire to HV sex. Sex is important in a relationship So one can't contain themselves and wait till both are ready or time is more appropriate maybe? Why do you think there are so many single mom's in this world and some single dads? Sex doesn't make nor hold a relationship together, it helps in sharing the emotions and feelings of the relationship with one another on a more personal/passionate way. But it isn't the relationship in itself. The emotional feelings and passion is needed before it can be shared. And if there's nothing to share, it's purely just physical and that alone will leave you feeling just as empty at the end of the day and possibly even more empty then before. So what is the method for easing this empty feeling for most, go have more sex. Lol go figure. Sounds like a never ending cycle that would never be satisfied. |

Intimacy can come from kisses, walks, movies, cuddling, and so forth without needing direct "sex". If it's only another layer of the onion, why wouldn't you have the rest of the onion without that layer? Yes they are. That is how human beings show their emotionally, loving feelings to one another. They make love and fall deeper in love with someone, they connect in more ways than one. The rest on that list reminds me of teenage crushes in high school. While fun and unassuming, those days are over and people grow and mature into something better, and want more than just a temporary gratification, even if it's as minuet as hand holding. Sex has and will always be a part of my life when I have feelings for someone and they return them back. |

Single moms and dads are single because of bad relationship variables. I am sure some people have healthy sex lives and feel just as emotionally and spiritually connected as the first day they met. Sex and feelings, deep, indescribable feelings are always linked. Anything else does lead on a path to something else. And I know, inside you cowboy, you may want this too. It's a need we all share, the need to connect in all ways. |
