Wow Elton John concerts, just 9 days shy of 39 years apart, what an experience.

Yeah, that's right, I saw Elton John in concert in the open air Wembley Stadium on June 21, 1975 as the headliner in a 12 hour concert with some of the greats including the Stackridge, Rufus and Chaka Khan, the Eagles, Joe Walsh, right before Elton, the Beach Boys.

And then on June 12, 2014 in the Farm Bureau stadium in Virginia Beach, another open air concert with Elton John, this time as a solo. He played just shy of three hours. Would have been fantastic but the sound system at Farm Bureau was loud and over-driven, lacked clarity. Most of Elton's songs were clipped and the voice bleary. But still it was great to be there.
