I listen to my gut feeling because when I have ignored it in the past, I got into trouble

Some trouble is fun though , right?

What's fun for some may not be fun for someone else. Each person has the right to choose for themselves with no questions asked. JMHO

Do you speak for the person whom I quoted?

Why do you never seem to shed light to your own experience, yet still seem to have the answers for everyone?

Interesting....

I have but you have probably never read them. From my experience trouble is never fun because there is always a price tag attached to it.....it wasn't named "trouble" for nothing.

The "T" in Thomas = Trouble

It is my experience, there is also a price tag attached to "integrity "

Both are rewarding I think, trouble being instant reward with long term consequence and integrity being long term reward with life long gain

I think both are necessary.

Through my experience I CHOOSE the life long gain of integrity because at one point I chose the path of least resistance and had to endure the consequences so I learned to listen to my conscience or "instincts" which have a voice of wisdom for the betterment of MY OWN LIFE. Those were my choices and I am thankful every day for those choices I've made. JMHO

Inevitably, both were necessary to produce the wisdom behind the path you chose to take (integrity)?

Yes but I am glad to see someone stand up for their own convictions as JP has in order to choose that life at such a young age. I might add that I could have chosen that way many years sooner and that lead to trouble. I've never regretted changing the troubled past for the inward peace I've experienced since I made that correction in my life. Life gives us choices every day. What we do with those choices determines our destiny...to live with a set of values or throw those values out the window and learn the troublesome consequences which will inevitably come.
