I dont think I have a 'the' favorite. but The Shining has always been good to me. There's a prequel movie in the works titled Overlook, don't think King has anything to do with it. But King did write an excellent sequel titled Doctor Sleep, it's about Danny as an adult.

Also love all the sequels, yes including Battle For The Planet Of The Apes. Didn't like Tim Burton's remake, but love Rise, still want to see Dawn. BUT I still would like to see a close adaptation of the original novel, the 1968 film had to make many changes due to budget and technology constraints. The animated series from the 70's actually has things that are close to the book, and the positive thing about Tim Burton's version is there are a few moments close to the book.
