I'd love to visit :) A phillipino nurse was looking after me in hospital, and she was so friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. She kept saying "Don't be scared. You're like a daughter to me. I won't hurt you I promise". And she smiled a lot, which helped. She helped me get rid of a foot problem while in there. Phillipino people are so friendly and polite. So of course I'd be willing to meet people from there. Hope I get to, some day ;)

Hi I am in the Philippines now. Manila Metro now. Just got married the pic u see is me and my wife in a Tricycle. easiest way to travel short distances. You have to watch the Taxi drivers. It is really cheap but they believe all Americans r rich. I had one take me home from the Mall and he kept wanting me to give him directions , so of course he got lost. Took me by the airport which was way out of the way and cost 3x the amount the taxi cost me to go to the mall. My Philippina wife gets really mad with the taxi drivers trying to take advantage. The taxi's are so cheap compared to America though yet traffic is so slow. if you r going 25mph count yourself lucky. The Tricycles ( 3 wheeled motorcycles) are really cool to ride in and one way is like a $1. They are everywhere. they have public transportation like the Jeepneys and express SUV's. They stop every little bit and pickup and let people off. Do Not go out in the Manila Area if a storm is coming( like a couple of inches of rain) the taxi's drivers go home!!! they will strand you for fear the road will flood and they will lose their taxi. overall the people are very friendly even though I do not like going out at night. still have so much to learn but I have my wonderful Bride to be my Path Finder. the Love of My Life

Oh the food the food the food so fresh I love the food!!!! Masarap! If u take cab always say start meter always and check make sure last fare is gone. If taxi fair tip if he cheats no tip manila is the safest city I've ever been. Just don't be flashy no jewelry gold watches. There is security everywhere Manila is 24/7 . Short plane rides gets u to the most beautiful beaches in the world. Filipino people do not know how to complain always friendly. Karaoke red horse and whitest smiles on warm nights enjoy!!

Also if u go there don't worry about medical I burnt leg on scooter got infected doctor office charged me 100 pesos $2.25 I was shocked. Their medical tourism is continuing to grow very affordable. Best nurses in the world.
