Years ago when i was living in West-by-God i was visiting a friend of mine( he was 68 and i was 45) we were sitting at the table drinking coffee.
A mutual Friend was listening to out conversation( he was 30ish) We were talking of the Old Westerns shows of the past Sugarfoot,Rawhide,Lawman, The Rebel(Johnny Umah)etc.etc.! He kept looking back and fort from one to the other of us (looking very puzzled) unable to get into the conversation! About an hour went by and all of a sudden he ask me" How the Hell Old are You anyway"!! I told him my age and he replied "B.S" how can you remember those shows, I've seen some you mentioned but never heard of the others? I explained to him my Father was born in 1910 and most of my life i was around older people! You know i had to show him my drivers license before he would believe my age!! Guess that's why i don't fit in too good in Todays Sioecity? |
