Topic: Is everyone who claims to be a widower a scammer?

i'm sorry to say this but many men here who claim to be widowers in their profiles are suspect.please ladies take note . they are so eager to get your personal contacts, write very long messages on first encounters,and are ready to say all about themselves even when you dont show any interest.and in most cases they have very nice pictures, they know what many women like, eg pictures of well built men, posing with posh cars in nice environments.please take your time to read people'e profiles. And in most cases they keep using the same profile with different pictures.I feel sorry for the genuine widowers here and i really dont mean to judge .

I don't think it is just widowers who are scammers. Unfortunately they come in all shapes on this site. You just have to treat each contact cautiously. There are honest people on this site. It is just a matter of weeding out the scammers.

That's a real shame but unfortunately you get people like that. I have seen women on here that want you to email them so they can send you pictures of them. One women IM'd me asking me to do it and when I said I wasn't interested and that I would prefer to just get to know her on here she stopped replying to me. So everyone should be careful and use their common sense when meeting people online. And just like your "widowers" they are very pretty women.

Of course not...Unfortunately, many are because they like to play the sympathy card to get what they want, usually dollar bills ....One of the nastiest angles in the scammer's trick bag......

I doubt they are real widowers who are pulling that scam. there is also one involving military men....so now i won;t communicate with anyone who says they are a soldier unless I have known them from the threads. kinda sad

And when says no, they stop. Too many scammers.. :( Not nice at all.

I think over half of the men on here are scammers but you can kind of start being able to pick them out after a while with their wording and things they say and yes the whole military & widow thing were are all the real men ??
