(((2K)))) Hello Everyone Just a quick hello before doing more job searching. Good luck BNJ I'm searching as well....hopefully today will be the end of that! What kind of job you searching for? Hello Isaac, thank you Good luck to you too. What about you, what kind of work? Well, I have my AS in Graphic Design but everything I have found has been about 45-50 miles drive (one way). So for now I am looking for something that pays half way decent until something in my field comes around. I have a lot of experience in many fields which will help broaden my opportunities. |

That's is a far commute, no fun. Well here's hoping something in your field comes around sooner rather than later I have 2 BS degrees, one in Computer Networks, and one in Network Security.....but other than fixing friends and families computers I don't have any experience in the field just yet...so trying to get my foot in the door somewhere.... Had the opportunity for a teaching job, but I feel it would be unfair to try teaching students about IT when I don't have any experience besides what my school taught.. Had an interview today, fingers crossed. |

I have always done all of the computer repairs and networking for family and friends as well. Probably should have went that route when I went for a degree. Instead I went for one of my passions. |

Good Luck *fingers crossed* Oh yea, there are a lot of openings in your field in my area. I have always done all of the computer repairs and networking for family and friends as well. Probably should have went that route when I went for a degree. Instead I went for one of my passions. Always go for passion! There was a study done(the name escapes me at the moment) they studied about 500 high school students and asked them a bunch of different questions, in the end they split them up into two groups, The fist one consisted of those who said they didn't care what job they did, as long as it paid well. The second one consisted of those that said they didn't really care about the pay, as long as it was something they enjoyed doing. well after 25 years they looked up the people in the two groups, there were about 3 times as many millionaires in the group of that said they wanted to enjoy their work, compared to those that just wanted the money. The theory was because people enjoyed their work, they became experts in their respective fields and thus their pay reflected that. |

The theory was because people enjoyed their work, they became experts in their respective fields and thus their pay reflected that. I should have followed my passions earlier in life I suppose. I attended college later in life after being laid off from a really good paying job. I worked hard there but in the end 600 were let go. Imagine going to college at the age of 45 with a bunch of 19 year old students. It was a shock but they eventually got used to me... |
