they used to have stables around the city.. you could rent a horse for an hour or two.. but the city has developed so fast. that they all sold out... now you have to drive 2 or 3 hours.. boohoo... |

This is the BEST kind no1  What a shame. They lost a true gem when they lost that. I so need a trail ride and a vacation right now. A week away before all of the chaos begins with the training. Right now I would drive 20 hours for a trail ride! The peace it brings me to become one with a horse.

You may have to keep the boys...lol After that drive and ride I would have to find a nice little cozy spot for a hot bath. Somewhere out where the cell phones don't ring. Where curtains aren't needed and the stars fill the skies. Ummm....I can almost see it now. |

 This one right here says it all. I can almost feel it I can almost smell it The peace, the calm, the reflection time One with yourself and nature One with the horse A long trail ride would in fact be wonderful A time to get away from everything for a while Become more in tune with myself again |

I happened across this image tonight and it brought back some great memories for me
This horse looks a lot like the little spunky mare my friend used to own Her name was Stormy and she was 15 hh and I was usually the only one that dared ride her other than my friends boys She was smart, responded to my cues like a pro, small, stout, full of fire, spirit, attitude and spunk She was such a dream for me to ride, we just clicked and it all seemed so effortless How I miss that horse and the days we spent on the trail Our favorite thing most of all was to play *TAG* on horseback! She was fast like the wind and knew how to play the game very well I know that she loved that game just as much as I did She would go as fast as she could so we could tag a rider She just knew when I had made the tag because she would turn sharp and dart away The only horse that rode with us that could sometimes catch her was a tall leggy Thoroughbred mare Oh those were the days.
